In 2023, I co-founded Firelight: an online community dedicated to alleviating the loneliness epidemic by making safe, authentic connection with others accessible to all.

We chose the name Firelight because of the way that conversations around the fire have shaped and transformed humanity by connecting us in new ways.

By allowing us to gather and share stories – instead of just engaging about the mundane, transactional topics required by daily life – conversations in the firelight "put listeners on the same emotional wavelength” … they expand our minds and perspectives, and cultivate understanding, empathy, and trust.

We are dedicated to carrying on that tradition by creating a virtual space that captures the essence of gathering around a fire — a space that allows us to skip the small talk, shed the many labels and stories we use to define ourselves, and connect in deep and authentic ways.
